24 hours in Asuncion, Paraguay.
More out of curiosity than anything else, we set off for Asuncion on a 20 hour bus marathon. Only to get there and find that EVERYTHING was closed because of 'Workers day'. (How ironic!) Literally the only restaurant we could find open was a fast food joint... we ate there twice in 24 hours! Despite that... it's a lovely little city. Lots of colonial architecture, and with a very laid back feel. Incredible to see the poverty sitting directly behind the fancy government buildings though. A real story of extremes.
