Our last visitor in Buenos Aires

A last minute surprise meeting up with Sinead for last drinks at Milion till 4am. What a way to round off a perfect year!

A day of surprises!

e

As if there hadn´t been enough surprises through the day, Edel organised a great surprise party with a novel theme... Dress like Chris! Everyone turned up flowery and be-hatted... apart from me! Fantastic night... even ordering McDelivery! Life doesn´t get better!

What a way to end the year.

,

Finally plucking up the courage to ask, I proposed to Edel by my favourite place in Buenos Aires. Thankfully she accepted. I couldn´t be happier! What an incredible way to end the year!

La Cabrera - The finale

Amazing... at last BsAs embraced modern technology and gets an Oyster card system. Shame it came at the end of the year. No more problems with coins!

Our final visit to the best steakhouse there is.

Rio Scenarium. Rio´s most eccentric Samba club!

With 3 floors of crazy antiques, and different scenes on every one, we ordered 2 of the most toxic drinks on the menu and hit the samba floor. A great night to end on in fantastic Brasil!

Ticking off the last of Rio´s sights.. in the middle of the night!

The famous Lapa steps (taken from the worst possible angle!) From the other view they´re really impressive I promise!

Conquering Sugar Loaf!

Christ looking over my shoulder...

Walking the length of the beaches (before breakfast!) we made it to Sugarloaf for some of the most spectacular views of Rio.

Beach life - Rio style!

It´s all going on on the beaches. Capoiera, sun monitors, refreshing billboards, crazy paving (Waves = Copacabana, Pattern = Ipanema)

A moody end to a great day in moody Rio!

Crazy nights out in Lapa... dancing outside a furniture shop!

At last... the sun makes an appearance! - Ipanema beach here we come!!

´The barefoot girl from Ipanema!´- Despite being told crime was rife on the beach, you wouldn´t think they´d nick your flip flops would you... unbelievable.

You can literally buy anything on the packed beaches. Bikinis, coconuts, cheese, hats... you name it. It´s there somewhere!

A rare moment of solitude on Ipanema.
